Quick post to share a short trip in Oct. 2025 to Quakertown PA to visit my brother, Aaron.
On the first full day, we explored the nearby Valley Forge Historic Site, where Washington famously encamped for the winter – which as it turns out is not the same as camping, as at least officers were in buildings. It was neat to see the historic stonework and houses though, and the trail was nice and mild.
The next day involved a quintessential trip to an apple orchard to get in the experience before the end of the season, and the final day was rounded out with a trip to a delicious Amish farmer’s market, and reservoir where we saw some schoolchildren out on a nature hike.
